A Concept Beyond the Fraidycrats...

One thing that the DefeatoCrats never seem to understand is there are millions of patriotic Americans. That Memorial Day isn't a day of barbecues and picnics but a day of thanks and appreciation for the sacrifice that members of the Armed Forces have made to keep our country free and safe.
On this Memorial Day we would like to thank Rides a Pale Horse for his video montage expressing his feelings about our country and the men and women who have sacrificed for her . Rides a Pale Horse's Video.

Fly your flag, visit a cemetery, pause to give thanks and honor who have served and those we have lost in service to our country.

The difference between the political parties has never been so stark. John Edwards has asked people to protest the war this Memorial Day. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama voted against funding troops in the field now. If shame were an emotion that Democrats could feel this Memorial Day would be a good time to hang their heads. However, the concept of shame is NOT in a Democrat's make-up.

Harry Reid looking for more Republicans to teach to surrender

The Democratically controlled Senate gave the troops the funding that they needed today. However, they gave the money for only a limited time. Senator Reid decided to demonstrate how our troops should confront Al Qeda and Iranian operatives.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada was more emphatic: "Senate Democrats will not stop our efforts to change the course of this war until either enough Republicans join with us to reject President Bush's failed policy or we get a new president." Story here.

Harry Reid, surrendercrat Nevada, demonstrates how to approach the terrorists.

We need leaders in Congress, too bad all we have are democrats and too many Republicans that act like democrats.

Wow! Worse than Anyone Knew

Turns out that the ethical democrat Jack Murtha spread around over $50,000 to a number of freshman democratic congressmen to ensure he would not be called on the carpet for his bullying behavior in breaking the House rules. The full story is here.
U.S. Rep. Jack Murtha gave nearly $50,000 to 19 House freshmen who abandoned a week-old pledge to toughen House ethics rules by voting against a reprimand of Murtha for reportedly violating those rules.

Despite last week’s media blitz promoting tougher ethics enforcement, a group of freshmen Congressmen failed their first practical test Tuesday night, when they refused to reprimand one of their colleagues for an apparent ethics violation.
The stench of Murtha is overpowering the ethics promises that many of these freshmen were elected on. Where is Pelosi? For being Speaker of the House she has certainly shown that she knows how to lead. She has lost control of her buddies in the House.

The Most Ethical Congress in History /NOT!

Update and followup to previous post.

The House voted on party lines to not reprimand Murtha for his threatening a fellow lawmaker. Even the New York Times has noticed that with our new democrat leadership ethics are an elusive goal. (today's comments from The Times) The poster boy for Ethics Reform John P. Murtha was mentioned in The Times today, "He was accused of violating a new ethics rule that prohibits lawmakers from swapping pork for votes." And after he did that he threatened another member of the House.

Murtha is not a stranger to corruption and graft, or bullying for that matter.
ABSCAM player Murtha.

Pelosi and Murtha have done a lot to try to lose the war against Islamofascists. Between Pelosi venturing to meet with Syrian dictator Bashar Assad and her inability to move the House in any direction other than surrender we don't need any more of these kind of ethics!

Jim McDermott
of Seattle has lost his battle to appear innocent of leaking illegally obtained wiretaps. (read the above article with a huge grain of salt, Jackie Kucinich (daughter of department of peace advocate and joke of a presidential cadidate Dennis Kucinich) wrote the article. The Seattle- PI hometown paper of Baghdad Jim had this to say about the case.

The voters need to see these charlatans for what they are, ethically challenged elitists.

Jimmah The Irrelevant Carter

Former President Carter has once again opened his mouth and shown that he is a partisan idiot. Jimmy Carter was quoted as saying, "I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history." Full context can be found here. Carter has been running around the world trying to increase his relevance and enhance his legacy since he left office. His pious persona belies the evil, bitter man he is.

What a legacy to try to rescue. Virulent anti-Semite, anti-American, dictator-loving, failure of a president wants to be relevant. He plagiarized maps in his current book (coverage from Gateway Pundit here). He has preached to the American people that, "In a nation that was proud of hard work, strong families, close-knit communities and our faith in God, too many of us now tend to worship self-indulgence and consumption. Human identity is no longer defined by what one does but by what one owns." (the Malaise speech) Rather than offer a solution, he wanted us to put on a sweater and give up. The man that knew the Cold War could never be won. The man that now meets with Hugo Chavez and any other dictator he can find.

The White House said little at first, but then called Carter on his rhetoric. Pointing out his increasing irrelevancy. Follow-up story here.

Now Carter is claiming that his comments were, "careless or misinterpreted," more here. Of course the words came out of his mouth.

There are plenty of things that the Bush administration could do differently, like protect our borders or win the war in Iraq. However, only during the Carter administration was there a malaise quotient that was set by the president. He gave Iran to the mullahs, he blamed the American people for the tough times in our country, and worst of all he gave up being a leader.

A wonderful editorial by Shmuley Boteach states: (full version here.)
"Carter wants to do what's just. His heart's in the right place. He just can't figure out what the right is. He is, and always has been, a man of good intentions bereft of good judgment. He invariably finds himself defending tyrants and dictators at the expense of their oppressed peoples. Not because he is a bad man, but because he is a confused man.

CARTER SUBSCRIBES to what I call the Always Root for the Underdog school of morality. Rather than develop any real understanding of a conflict, immediately he sides with the weaker party, however wicked or immoral."
The angry Irrelevant man should just be quiet. We didn't like you in the 70's and we don't like you now.

Bullycrat or Buffooncrat? You Make the Call.

Representative John P. Murtha (friend of earmarks everywhere, unless he doesn't like you) threatened a Republican lawmaker that called him on his earmarks. Pelosi Defends a Bully has the full story of this week's encounter.

Grandma Fran Nan defended this senile pol. Pelosi defends her attack dog.

Murtha is the chief surrendercrat in the House, influencing Pelosi and other weak-willed, but well heeled individuals. Murtha an unindicted co-conspirator of ABSCAM scandal that brought many congressmen down. (Great Synopsis of Murtha and ABSCAM ) courtesy of the Spectator with links to video and transcripts.

Murtha is also a geographic genius. He suggested that our military retreat from the theater of operations in Iraq and move to Okinawa so that they can react quickly. When asked if he really meant Okinawa, he told Tim Russert yes. Michelle Malkin details Murtha's Okinawa comments.

Murtha's service in the military deserves to be honored. His criminal activity in the House should be investigated and IF he had any sense of honor he would resign. Of course, he is a defeatocrat, bullycrat, so he won't quit until someone beats him in an election that he can't fix.

Update: Added the link of Pelosi defending Murtha in the Most Ethical Congress in History!

Lindsey Graham enjoys Teddy Kennedy's goose

Lindsey Graham has never really wanted to be associated with the GOP, especially conservative members of the party. Looks like Lindsey and Mel Martinez have joined the Drinking Democrat Fraternity of the US Senate. Even having Ted (splish splash) Kennedy pinching his butt doesn't seem to bother Lindsey.

Too many GOP members have lost touch with the American people and this picture shows it.

Dems show they are the FraidyCrats!

Today it was announced that the democrats have decided to not have any of their debates on Fox News! Link to Media Bistro

Watching the Republican candidates on Fox News last night the moderators asked tough questions, when candidates dodged the questions they were redirected to answer the question. Quite a difference from the debate hosted by MSNBC, where Chris Matthews left lipstick on so many derrieres that Single Sheet Sheryl's advice wouldn't have helped clean it off.

So now the democrats have decided they don't want any of those tough questions, they want softballs and kisses. The FraidyCrat party is afraid of Fox News. The dems won't take a risk of being asked tough questions, do they really think that we think they are capable of dealing with the mullahs of Iran or the nutcase in North Korea?

The party of surrender is at least consistent.
